Nestled in the centre of Manchester we are located above the Walkabout Bar and Nightclub. The bar serves food from midday every day until late. We love our sport at Walkabout so pop in and watch a game on our Big screen, or dance the night away all weekend when our DJs party through till 3am
Walkabout is across the road from the Opera House and a stone’s throw away from the MEN Arena, Manchester Central, the main shopping district, vibrant China Town, the Northern Quarter, Canal Street and a short cab to the famous Curry Mile and Old Trafford.
Room and front door key cards will be provided to each guest so you can come and go as you please. Guests can access free WiFi from Reception and the bar. A lot of our staff are antipodeans or travellers, so feel free to drop into the bar and ask for their tips on places to go and things to see!

Reviews & Ratings huanpeng096510 stayed here on 15th August 2010 Walkabout is located in the city centre of Manchester, and only 10 minutes' walk to China Town and central coach station, so I could find it easily after arriving by coach and also enjoy some delicious chinese food. It isn't such noisy as someone said but there isn't any tissue and shampoo in my room. You could buy these necessities in nearby tesco or sainsbury's. Generally,it is clean, comfortable and good value for money. | | Marcos stayed here on 06th August 2010 The place is great! Well located, with a Tesco and a Sainsburys supermarkets really on the corner! Nice room, clean, our bathroom even had a tub :) Electrical heater, quite warm and comfortable. Clean and safe. There is a club on the first floor and it makes some noise, but it didn't bother me at all. Internet connection is poor :(
Staff was very helpful and kind. | | ninastawinoga1140 stayed here on 02nd August 2010 Hostel is reorganising at the moment. Probably expect minor probelms. But staff is efforting to help! | | Javier stayed here on 31st July 2010 Its nice, if you can sleep in noise (there is a club in ground floor). I would do one or two nigths, not more!! Nice staff | | Cameron stayed here on 27th July 2010 was ok. The staff r really nice and the free wifi is great. the beds r really cheap, flimsy and loud though and there r no lockers to store valuables. it is only a new hostel though and i think things will get better. | | michaelpickton6733 from UK stayed here on 23rd July 2010 Really enjoyed it, had a great night out! Would definitely recommend the bar below for a pre-drink too!! Staff friendly and all in all a good stay! Hope to return soon!! | Mixed Group 18-24 |
